Anyone thinking of a new lawn this year we recommend you get in touch now before the mad spring rush starts.
Now is the ideal time rather than wait for warmer weather.
When a lawn is laid in spring & summer it needs watering twice a day whereas if done now there is enough moisture in the ground & rain for it to look after itself.
You also need to stay off the grass for 2 weeks which isn’t great in warmer weather as that is the time you want to enjoy being in your garden.

We've had many calls over the last couple of weeks asking if it's too late to lay turf, the answer is absolutely not!

We grow our turf at fields in Thornton Hough and as its already established turf and uprooted and delivered on the same day it is good to lay all year round.

We get lots of calls asking if it’s too late now to lay turf… the answer is no, we can lay a new lawn all year round and Autumn/winter is actually the best time to lay it!

Once a lawn is laid it needs to be watered twice a day if dry weather, laying later in the year means it more or less looks after itself with our rain & wet ground so saving you time and water bill money

It is also imperative to keep off the lawn for a few weeks to give it time to root which would be infuriating in the warmer months when you want to use your garden

It is also best not to mow the lawn for a while after laying so doing later in the year means it won’t need to be mowed until spring so ensuring that the rooting process is left to establish.
