Gardening or maybe a green digit affliction, whatever you call it, most definitely and certainly has a very strong addiction.
Good for your mental and physical health, to maybe and also feed your family and your very good self.
Patience most certainly required, sometimes tested,
but seeing what you can do with just a patch of earth is time and energy well invested.
From fruit and veg, to parks and green spaces, from all walks of life with no airs and fancy graces.
A great leveller for all to enjoy, whether man, woman, girl or a boy.
The main aim of a simple pursuit, to make every patch green with all sorts of shoots.
Edible or not, reasons to work hard and believe, that skill you didn't know you had, hidden right up inside your sleeves.
The fruits of your labours all laid out to view, if lucky mostly ending up on your plates, your soups and possible stew.
The organic option is there for the taking,
so much better for all with the healthier difference we're certainly making.
Helping the earth breathe and recycle its green landscapes and lungs.
The hobby, the healing and the business, the benefits of all the climate and well being, it certainly becomes.
Saving you money with also getting fit,
what else is there not to like, getting earth under fingernails, muddy boots and very dirty mitts. 😁

ADVICE: Warning over scam police callers

We’re warning people to be alert of fraudulent callers and advising them that a genuine police officer would never ask you to hand over money, never ask for your bank details and never ask for items to be left out for them to retrieve.

A real police officer will never ask for your bank details or PIN number.

Police officers would never come to your house to collect your cards or property and would also never ask you to transfer money to a secure account.

If you receive a phone call from someone who you believe is not genuine, and you suspect a scam is taking place or you feel vulnerable, hang up, wait five minutes to clear the line, or where possible use a different telephone line, to call police on 101 or Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 to report the incident.

If you have elderly friends or relatives who may be vulnerable to such a scam please talk to them and make them aware.

If someone comes to your door claiming to be a police officer, always ask to see their identification. Close the door and if you are in any doubt or have any concerns call our Control Room on 101 and ask to be put through to an officer to check they are genuine. A real police officer will not mind waiting while you check.

We'd also appeal to people to look after their elderly neighbours, friends and family. Remind them to be vigilant and make them aware of these sort of scams.
