Taking a look at some progress on our ongoing project in the Isle Of Wight where we have the porch out back and loft bed platform taking great shape, and realising more space than we had first anticipated.

Clever stairs leading to the loft platform were designed and ordered online, which was a far better cost solution compared to having them custom made.

The stunning custom Skylights now adorn the side return extension, and the new windows for the openings we created should arrive within 2 weeks.

The new structure for the second floor is now in with external cavity walls now being built to support the 11m steel beams just craned in.

Good progress is being made and we are looking to complete the new roof in 2 weeks time ready to start the interior stud walls.

Instead of building a new second storey, we have lowered the floor joists in the loft over the new family bathroom to make room for an extra bed platform in the roof space. This will save a lot of hassle and expense, but still provide an extra ‘bedroom’ for the kids.
