Haven’t posted in a little while so here’s a little planting job completed this week. Hedge removed, w**d suppression sheeting down and some small shrubs planted. Think you’ll agree it tidies the area up a lot!

Had a great time this week working on something that really pushed and challenged me. This is a 6mx3m outdoor kitchen, clad in 18mm log lap, 18mm outdoor ply and rubber roof system with guttering and flu kit installed. This thing is a beast! Each of the six 150mm posts have 4 bags of postmix in, all of the framework is 6by2 and everything is treated. Now it’s time for Luke at LTC Trees and Gardens to transform this space into the garden of their dreams.

Haven’t posted in a while but the jobs keep coming and going. Here’s a conifer hedge removal replaced with 6ft fencing to tie in with the existing fence. The hedge was getting wider and becoming a nuisance to keep cutting. I think the customers have gained a good 1.5m strip at the end of the garden.

9 metres of 6ft fence with capping in the pouring down rain today. Just about got the heat back in my bones.

Side note - don’t use electric tools in the wet

After several years of trimming and shaping the Ivy for this customer they decided it would be best to come down. These can be really tricky when living so we always recommend severing the roots and leaving the ivy to die back. This one was so well established that the pipe work had to be taken down with it and put up again afterwards. It did however come down in one big satisfying clump after some persuasion from the pry bar.
