One day makeover on a rainy day in 💚

Removal of invasive plants, buddleia, mares tail and brambles 🌿

Creating of a new vegetable bed for client to plant up 🥕

Moving of sun worshippers Lavender and Geum from the shady side to a sunny spot ☀️

Replanting on the north facing wall with shade loving Hosta, Achemillia mollis, Ferns, Foxgloves and Polemonium 🌱

Planting up some gorgeous new pots for curious young gardeners with raspberries, strawberries, herbs and pollinator attracting perennials 🍓🐝🌼

Some lovely photos here but my god it was a struggle to get them!

I'd been looking forward to my first visit but I'll be honest, it was so overcrowded.

So hard to see the show gardens and then swept along without a chance to stand and really look and enjoy or take inspiration, which was the whole point of the trip.

Hats off to the exhibitors in the pavilion, some amazing stands! 💚

Glad I went but probably wouldn't go again 🤷‍♀️

An amazing one day transformation on this new build back garden in Heaton 💚

This might be some of my favourite planting, including...
🌿 Pulmoneria 'Trevi Fountain'
🌱 Tiarella 'Pink Skyrocket'
🌿 Thalictrum 'Black Stockings'

3 varieties of Hosta and lots of other beauties.

As with all new builds though, lots of concrete and rubbish hidden under the top soil, I'm aching today!

Yarden makeover in Heaton! 🙌

Thought the hail, thunder & lighting and rain, ADR Joinery brought my vision to life! 💚

Changing the layout and adding in bespoke raised beds with built in seating & storage, to make more space & solve the issue of the different flooring levels.

Throw in a fresh lick of paint and some vertical planting with climbers and shelves to soften all the walls and really feel immersed in nature.

With all the usual pollinator friendly perennials 🐝
