On Tuesday, we were out at the Alliance Leisure 6-a-side tournament, all in support of Brain Tumour Focus!

A brilliant day for a cause that’s close to us, and even better knowing the event raised an incredible £8,000 towards vital brain tumour care. Proper team effort all round, even if the legs are still feeling it a couple of days later.

Huge shout to everyone who made it happen, and congrats to Speller Metcalfe on the Champions League win, with Willmott Dixon taking the Europa League title.

Not a bad first run out for us either, making it to the semi-finals. We’ll take that... but we’ve already got our sights set on next year.

The walking boots are well and truly on!

Over the past few weeks, the team have been getting out on a series of practice walks as we build up to the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. One of the recent routes took us along Hadrian’s Wall, setting off from The Sill and covering a stretch that definitely put the legs to the test.

It’s been a great way to get the miles in, take in some incredible landscapes and spend time together outside the studio. A few climbs, plenty of steps and the kind of conditions you’d expect… all part of the preparation!

We’re taking this on to raise money for a brilliant cause, Thomas Pocklington Trust, supporting people with sight loss.

On Sunday, Team GT3 took on the Notts 10k and raised an incredible £860 for , which will go towards the incredible work they do in supporting young people! 💙

Matt, Abbie, Archie, Anna, Charlotte, Joe, Laura, Jake and Kieran all crossed the finish line in under an hour, with family, friends and colleagues Hattie & Leoni cheering us on from the side lines! A huge thank you to Katie for stepping in and being our 10th team member! 🙌

From post work run clubs, to hosting our own GT3 Pasta Party, all our hard work truly paid off and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved. Go team! 🧡

It’s National Apprenticeship Week!

There’s more than one route into architecture, and PlanBEE continues to be part of studio life, with students joining project teams and contributing to live work from day one.

Towards the end of last year, Ava Wong completed her placement with us, sharing brilliant feedback on her experience across site analysis, BIM audits and planning drawings. At the start of this year, Zac Merrick joined the studio and has been building hands-on experience through drawing packages, precedent research, developing sections of a Design and Access Statement, and attending CPDs and design team meetings.

We’ve shared a short piece on the website reflecting on their journey and why apprenticeship pathways matter.

Team GT3 took on the Great North 10k and raised an incredible £547 for the !

Eric, Carys, Damien, Elizabeth, Sean, Claire and Drew crossed the finish line, with support from Josh and Chris on the sidelines. Huge thanks to Drew for stepping in last minute and showing real community spirit.

From run clubs to the GT3 Pasta Party, this was all about teamwork, purpose and supporting a brilliant cause. We’re proud of what we achieved and already looking ahead to the next challenge.

Since 2021, the iconic Debenhams Store in Nottingham has been closed; leaving the 196,000 sq ft landmark standing empty on Old Market Square.

As part of an R&D initiative, a group of passionate architects from our Nottingham studio have spent the last few months collating their vision to retrofit the former Debenhams estate, with their ambition for the building to generate greater economic growth and opportunities for the city and its community.

"Our retrofit of the building proposes a truly mixed-use building where people can live, work and play, bringing back to life a landmark and creating a melting pot for new communities to flourish."

Fantastic coverage! Thank you!

Community conscious staff at GT3 architects battled difficult conditions to raise more than £2,500 for charities Recyke y’Bike and Mind. A 5-strong team cycled 220 miles from the company’s studio in Nottingham to its Newcastle studio.

We're edging closer to our colleagues undertaking the mammoth 220 mile ride between Nottingham and Newcastle!
