12 milestones in 12 months
As we approach the end of the year, we’ve been reflecting on a hugely rewarding 12 months. Here are 12 highlights from 2025 and a glimpse of what’s to come in 2026:
1. Newham Hall Masterplan – We developed a masterplan for a 71-hectare site at Newham Hall for Middlesbrough Council, informed by specialist consultants covering drainage, ecology, BNG, transport and more. We were proud to present the proposals at a 12-hour public consultation in May.
2. Planning permission granted – Our proposals for a 93-bed student accommodation and retail scheme at Mount Oswald, Durham, were granted planning permission.
3. Lemington Methodist Church – We were delighted to contribute to the first phase of works, helping expand vital food and clothes bank facilities for the local community.
4. Elliott Residence – It’s been a pleasure to see our internal reconfiguration proposals for this beloved Northumberland home start on site.
5. Farewell Ayanda – After joining us in 2023, Ayanda became a valued team member. This summer he relocated to Brighton to be closer to family. We wish him all the best.
6. Quinquennial Inspections – Continuing our work with local Methodist Circuits, we carried out inspections at Ryton, Welcome and Castletown Methodist Churches.
7. Ava joined GRADON – We were delighted to welcome Ava as Apprentice Marketing Coordinator, bringing fresh energy and ideas to the team.
8. Kelly Residence – Planning permission was granted for extension proposals to this family home in Tyne and Wear.
9. Project completion – Our extension to this Gateshead manufacturing facility is nearing completion, supporting our client’s growth through the adaptation of existing space.
10. Aaron is an Architect! – After eight years of dedication, Aaron graduated from Newcastle University and qualified as an architect.
11. Nunthorpe Grange Design Code – Commissioned by Middlesbrough Council, we produced a design code for a 26.5-hectare site to guide high-quality future development.
12. Málaga study trip – Our annual study trip took us to Málaga, offering inspiration, cultural exploration and time to connect as a team.
