An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who is willing to undertake grounds maintenance of community green spaces.

We are looking for a reliable Monday to Friday hard working individual to join our team. This role is a physical role and will involve lots of walking. The team are energetic, always up for a laugh but get the job done!

Tasks include but not limited to; mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, w**d control, vegetation clearance and hard surface maintenance. Travel to various work sites across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire from our yard in Barton Mills in a Company vehicle.

Hours of work 7:00 – 4:30 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime on some Saturdays, where workload permits.
Essential:
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Own Transport to get to the yard
• Good work ethic
• Flexible in approach to work and willing to work outside in all weathers
Desirable:
• Some maintenance experience

We are a multi-disciplinary contractor with teams offering hard and soft landscaping, local authority/ commercial grounds maintenance and tree work services across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. In the last 2 weeks the landscaping team have been busy installing various types of fencing, including durapost fencing for a contemporary look as well as some post and rail around a country park pond with the help of John Allen.
We have also installed some wildflower turf to help improve biodiversity at an office site as well as cutting and collecting a large area which is to be renovated into a community football pitch.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks, we have installed a new beacon at Aspal Close nature reserve, carried out some light reduction works to some trees in Cambridge, topped up shrub beds with fresh bark mulch and cleared the sides of some water courses.

It’s been a busy start to the year with the tree work team busy on some section felling, the mainteance team carrying out some hedge cutting and watercourse clearance, the landscaping team have installed a metal sleeve ready to take a new beacon at Beck Row as well as starting a residential landscaping project in Bury. Thanks to John Allen for his work with his flail to improve visibility for a customer. Looking forward to seeing the grass start to grow again!
