One of my favourite projects to date: the conversion of a disused former RAF barn into a family home.

The design transforms the redundant agricultural building into a spacious contemporary dwelling, featuring a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, a separate snug/cinema room, four bedrooms, four en-suite bathrooms, a utility room and boot room.

Extensive glazing has been carefully incorporated to frame uninterrupted views across the surrounding countryside, creating a strong connection between the home and the vast open fields beyond.

Concept work underway for a period property in one of the villages just outside Bury St Edmunds.

The existing scheme is a modest pair of 2-bed semi-detached houses. Concept 1 looks at pushing these into proper 3-bed homes, with well-proportioned rear extensions to form generous kitchen, dining and day spaces that actually work for modern living.

Key focus is on respecting the original character – keeping the form honest and introducing extensions that feel like they belong. Flint detailing is picked up and repeated so the new work reads as a continuation, not an add-on.

This one is almost ready for its planning journey out in the Cambs village of Gamlingay. From the front it reads as a simple garage with a glazed link, but step inside and you discover a three level basement cinema, a utility boot room and the garage at ground level. Up top is the bar and games room opening to a terrace that captures the endless countryside views the clients enjoy across their land. note: the AI hasn’t quite got the lines structures right… but good enough for this stage.

A slight redesign on an already approved application in one of the suffolk villages. the clients wanted to keep the main centrepiece of glazing, brick, flint and glass, but with a raised eaves and ridge to create more space on the first floor. low level dormer windows have been added to avoid a bulky look on the main façade — they sit nicely and stay understated. hoping round two gets the same result as the first
