A wet week in the woods dealing with ash dieback affected trees.

Nest checks earlier in the year discovered chicks and active nests so a revisit a few weeks later and another check confirming all chicks have left.

Some chicks 🐥 using a rustic bird box we made 😎

Great to see our owl box’s being used. Lots of discoloration / dirt around the opening from feet or body, with the same on the surrounding branches. Nests being made too!
Look forward to carrying out further inspections on other box’s and watching our wildlife cameras 🦉🦇

An important part of tree work - replanting to compensate for the ones that have been removed. Various species chosen depending on location, mulch and mycorrhiza to retain water/heat retention and nutrients to kick start them off over the next few months.
