Something a little different…

A customer got in touch via a recommendation (of which we are always so grateful for) and asked if we were able to do structural alterations… we said yes of course.

They had been in contact with a structural engineer- with drawings made up ready to go.

To our surprise it was in a garage and the goal was to increase the ceiling height to allow full use of an indoor golf simulator.
Can’t say we’ve been asked to do that before!

For a small-ish job, there was a lot to do. But overall the results were great! The issue of headroom was solved! You can see the difference in height from the old truss’ left in place.

BATHROOM TRANSFORMATION ✨

Another bathroom completely transformed and ready to enjoy.

For this project we:

✔️ Removed all existing sanitaryware, tiles and wall panelling
✔️ Lowered an uneven ceiling to accommodate new lighting
✔️ Taped, jointed and sanded throughout for a smooth finish
✔️ Primed and latexed the floor ready for installation
✔️ Installed new LVT flooring
✔️ Re-boarded the shower wall
✔️ Installed 11 shower panels
✔️ Boxed in all pipework for a clean, modern look
✔️ Crafted and installed bespoke Minerva solid surface shelving, step, window sill and bath ledges
✔️ Fitted a new airing cupboard door
✔️ Replaced the window glazed units, handle and trims
✔️ Completed all decorating to a high professional standard 👌

The plumbing and electrical works on this project were carried out by the client’s own contractors.

The Finished kitchen

And another kitchen install wrapped up!

On this one, we formed the drop ceiling to accommodate spot lights, made good to all the walls, and then fitted the kitchen.

I love the blue with the white worktop, Ice blue Minerva. With matching splash backs.

Electrical and plumbing works all renewed;

Worktops complete!

Minerva….

-Seamless joints almost invisible
-Under-mount sink routed in along with custom drainage grooves.
-Custom splash back cut to size.
-Smooth radius corners to breakfast bar end.
- cutting board made from off cuts

Minerva work surfaces, if anyone knows anything about them, are incredibly heavy and difficult to work with. They require a precise method to ensure every joint is properly aligned and done right. Although very time consuming the end result is well worth it.

Kitchen complete!

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the call to go back and photo this completed kitchen!
The clients were having the decoration done by others, so we wanted to wait and get the very final snapshot. 📸

This one looks absolutely fantastic- great work by the team at S&S- with a special mention to Colbie Sampson for the bulk of the work you can see in the pics. From client relations to getting the job done, he did great. 🙏

Fresh new doors for this client.

Short notice call to see if we could get them done within the week. A little shuffle about and got it sorted.

All doors are on roller catches, client is fitting their own pull handles!

Decorating to be done by others.

Good result.
