this is me! The face behind the posts!( actually not how I always look...and not always wrestling dinosaur)You may have seen me loitering around behind my Auntie Mandy at the farm, as she very patiently taught me " roses"πŸ˜‰ I took up creating this page firstly as a distraction- but have actually really enjoyed it,sharing our love of roses...and haven't we found some bloomin' beauts! I'm leaving, so this is goodbye and thank you for reading, following, sharing. This page will be no more, BUT, panic not! The lovely Charlotte, our new "girl" who you will no doubt have met already will be posting a new one so keep a look out ###

Oh Wow!

Yes you are...you actually really are. This beauty is a relatively low growing climber, so would suit a sunny, smaller garden,or in a larger one, perhapsa nook to call her own - but look at those colours, she can only make maximum impact, and draw all of your attention. With her centre, bright yellow stamen, bold flashes of claret, open flower SO attractive for our friends the bees.
Don't forget, our wonderful new catalogues are now out- a call through to the nursery before your visit, will ensure we are able to check stock.

* Posted for 'J' as I am unable to reach you on messenger 😊 Mandy has put your rose to one side and will be ready for your collection 🌹

Okay its raining, but look at these "pretty maids all in a row".
Standard roses, also known as tree roses, are a type of rose cultivated with a single, straight stem topped with a flowering head, creating a "lollipop" effect. They are a popular choice for adding height, structure, and a touch of elegance to gardens, borders, and even containers. At my home, Ballerina and Bonica Standard roses sit pretty, backs tall, heads raised in pink, above a bed of purple hue,Salvia,Nepeta, Monkshood.
A little break from watering.
Open today 10am-4pm.

Looking for a "Patcher"
4 Weeks paid work - this is not a difficult job, BUT; farm labour is hard in the sense that you have to be reliable, work at a monotonous pace,be diligent... and it's hot out there in the fields! So the situation can be very hard...hard on backs.
Following behind the " budder" the task is quite simply to place a protective strip around the small bud that he has attached to the budwood. This position is piece work rather than hourly 🌹
