Back in the early days of QMS, we were already pushing the boundaries of what line marking could be. This throwback footage shows our team maintaining yellow lines using waterborne acrylic, a testament to our early commitment to sustainable, high-performance solutions.

Using solvent-free, cold-applied products is something that we at QMS are proud to be pioneers of, and 25 years later, we are still setting the standard for the UK's road and surface safety.

Our 25-year anniversary countdown brings us right to the present day with our latest and most advanced fleet innovation.

Launched last year at Highways UK, EcoRib™ represents the absolute cutting edge of what we do.

Traditional road markings leave a heavy footprint, dropping microplastics into our watercourses as they degrade, so we engineered a way out of that loop. By laying down a highly stable, cold-applied MMA rib, we're drastically cutting down both carbon and plastic waste.

This was our complete cold-applied lineup at Precision in Action 2025, a massive increase from where the QMS fleet began. Fast forward to now, and we’ve already added the EcoRib and ColdMark machines to push our capabilities even further.

Watching Greg look back on the last 25 years, one thing stands out. Success here was never just about winning contracts, although it helps... It was always about the people.

It’s the team who backed a new business in the early days. The crew who stayed through the tough years. And the operatives who came to QMS knowing absolutely nothing about the industry, only to show determination and build phenomenal careers here.

There is no doubt that there has been plenty of disruption along the way. There has been brutal winter weather, clients going into administration and also a whole global pandemic! But QMS never survived by standing still or settling for "the norm." We did it by pushing boundaries.

The birth of HyperGrip is a story of true industry collaboration.

We found that traditional high-friction surfacing relied on toxic epoxies with slow cure times, or rigid resins that cracked under structural stress. We spent years developing a flexible alternative. Certified by the BBA in June 2015, our system still holds a non-failure track record!
