Ecocaretaker - Zero Emissions Gardening Service

ecoCaretaker Ltd will now be diverting all its work to Greenspace SOS, our non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). We will be delivering the same zero-emission garden and landscape maintenance service.
We created Greenspace SOS in October 2023 as an ethical, non-profit CIC. This means that all profits accrued by the business must be invested back into the communities it serves.

The SOS in our name stands for ‘Save Our Space!’, and since October 2023 GreenspaceSOS has used its profits to help
- fund free emergency gardening services for local Flying Start childrens nurseries, NHS hospital wards, an animal rescue sanctuary, an extra-care residential housing scheme, and numerous vulnerable residents and groups throughout our communities.
- deliver biodiversity-enhancement projects such as wildflower sowing and tree planting, and install wellbeing gardens for local community groups.
- Support local charitable campaigns, such as the ‘Everybody Deserves…’ campaign, where hundreds of food hampers are delivered to vulnerable people and families throughout South Wales at Easter and Christmas
- Create nature-based volunteering opportunities for local people and groups.

In March 2024 GreenspaceSOS were awarded the Mayors Citizenship Award for its positive contribution to communities in Bridgend.

Myself and Paul will be representing ecoCaretaker while taking part in this community relay race from Ben Nevis to Big Ben next month. A 2662km route separated into 366 stages, celebrating climate action and nature. This isn't a donation plea, no donations necessary. Just wanted to raise awareness of the event. If you fancy taking part there are Swansea, NPT, and Bridgend stages that range between 3k and 10k. We will be running a 10k stage that starts at Francos in Aberavon and ends at Margam Castle 🏃‍♂️🏃 Gav x

There are 366 stages along the 2,661km route so, whether you’re a walker, wheeler, runner or cyclist, there’s a stage for everyone!
