Brightblue was originally established in 2004 and is based by the sea, in a building which is also an exemplar of the work we do. Currently undergoing renovation work, Ballard's Smoke House makes the most of its orientation and location, using sustainable design and materials to achieve Activhaus standard. It represents a strong connection with the environment which is at the heart of the practice. Brightblue has been recognised through numerous awards from RIBA, RICS, GAGA environmental Awards, and the LABC. And by Art in Context with their award winning entry for 2004's Cut Glass installation in Ireland's National Botanical Gardens.
