Today we’re celebrating Mr Plan Man’s 15th birthday 🎂

Unexpected Surprises on the Quayside! 🌟

A site meeting with our Client and the Planning Officer took an exciting turn! We visited a derelict building on the Quayside, which will require Listed Building Consent.

With the sun shining, I was able to capture some incredible shots of historic landmarks, buildings, and features from a hidden raised terrace at the back of the property. 📸

Even better, our Client shared that after a recent chat with the Planning Officer, she now has a clear picture of what we’re proposing and mentioned “Darren was really helpful and explained everything clearly.” Always great to hear such positive feedback. 👏

I’m sure local Ouseburn artist Jim Edwards could create something truly stunning with these unique views! 🎨🌆

Project Update: Two-Storey Side Extension – Phase 1 Complete! 🏗️

Exciting progress on our latest project! Phase 1 of this 3-phase build is now complete, bringing a two-storey side extension to life. From initial survey notes and sketches (30 & 31) to detailed phasing plans, final drawings, and as-built site photos, every stage has been carefully planned and executed.

This extension is a key step in transforming the property, adding valuable space and enhancing functionality. With Phase 1 wrapped up, we’re gearing up for the next stage - stay tuned for more updates as the project unfolds!

The initial plan for this extension was for a single-storey rear extension, but after a bit of creative thinking, I proposed a two-storey side extension to our client. The result? More internal space created without sacrificing valuable garden area. This extension design also served to future-proof the home for years to come.

While the desire for a bigger kitchen was the main driver of the project, the end result delivered much more without exceeding the client's budget! Not only did we enhance the kitchen, but we also added a gorgeous new bathroom and an extra bedroom. All wrapped up in the summer of 2024.
