This week we cut back to the fence line the other side to the laural hedge for Ben & Claire. We cut this hedge a week ago in the grounds of The Grange as this is the home of the hedge.
We must have cut nearly 2ft of the side of the hedge and bevelled the top in so as to aid more light into the garden , cutting from on top of the shed was a bit sketchy as such a fall on the roof and the end corner wasn't so easy as so very tall but all went very well with a great result, the coffee was loverly too, thank you 🙏
All waste was removed and recycled responsibly & the garden left clean & tidy.

Burberis hedge removal completed this last week , a very prickly customer for sure each thorn has your name on it 🥺 cleared to ground level and the remaining stumps treated with a growth inhibitor all waste was removed and the site left clean & tidy.
All waste was recycled responsible.

This is the biggest , knarly est , oldest Holly Tree I have ever seen or climed up into , it was a complete compact rats nest of spindly crossing branches some starting at one side and exiting the other nearly some 15 Ft long my task was to pollard the tree as a reduction was albeit impossible from the inside and with no real space in the front garden to use a MEWP , sadly it had gotten way to big for the space that it occupies.
It wasn't the easiest ,with little or no room to manoeuvre or get a high anchor point I had to fight to gain access within the tree but slowly I made progress and was able to open it up and slowly complete the task , another mornings visit ensued to further tidy up the remaining architecture of the tree ,all waste was removed and all the timber produced was saved by the client and the garden left clean & tidy.

To continue the week ahead ,after about 2 years since we was last here , we have been once again engaged in the cutting and trimming of one very tall & (10ft) wide large laural hedge,and a very tall and wide Yew hedge ,with a little clearance of a recently wind blown ivy predated Elder tree ,all went very well but it wasn't an easy job all completed off my trusty scaffold tower and extra long pole hedge cutters and hand held hedge cutters and my very good grounds man Justin 👍

So on Sunday just passed I was on my way home from cycling going through GT BILLING Village NORTHAMPTON when I came across several people , some old age pensioners looking bemused and astonished as a large branch had just torn away from the main bough of a very large cedar tree and was perilously just hanging on by a slither ,luckily I always carry a folding silky saw in my ruck sack for those out to get you branches etc whilst out n about , so I offered to clear a way so that people could pass by especially the nurse who was just exiting as it happened.
That done they then said what a coincidence I was just passing at that time and I offered to help and that I had a saw with me I then explained that I was in fact a professional Arborist and I was pretty local and if needed I could come the following morning and remove it without damaging the fence underneath , so a deal was struck and we arrived on the Monday morning to do just that , all went to plan using 2 lowering ropes taking the weight off the limb so that I could further reduce the weight/load I then put a ladder up to the tear cut and an anchor rope high in the canopy for my safety with one gingerly cut it was free and suspended ready to be lowered and taken away along with all the brash and the drive left clean and tidy. The owner of the tree came out as we finished the operation and was very pleased with our prompt reaction and the work carried out ,what a great way to start the week 💥👍
