Dear All,
Not a great time to be a painter and decorator, however I have not come on here to moan, beg, grumble or grouse as many of us are in the same boat.
In our house there's a state of shock at the moment and we have many challenges to work through but there is a future, certain of that, it might look different, we might be socially distancing ourselves for quite a while but I have no doubt the world will still turn.
For decorating, tiling, wallpapering and general handyman duties I am available from mid April for vacant commercial and residential property indoor work and we are also in exterior painting season now too.
I have been surprised by the resilience of some of my commercial customers who have decided to take advantage of the downtime, especially those who are normally open for long hours, personally grateful of the work and also inspired by the fighting spirit.
With enhanced safety measures in place, adhering to government guidelines and common sense all these tasks can go ahead, we just have to be careful and abide by the rules.
Anyone reading this far down is probably a family member but I'd just like to add:
Stay home and support the NHS
Look after each other
Try not to get angry
Distance yourself physically from others but get closer in every other respect
Smile at strangers and say Hi
If you can see you can help then do
If you can't help, don't feel bad
Recognise that everyone has different challenges and that some struggles can't be seen before you jump on here and start passing judgement on others (unless they have a load of loo roll in a trolley in which case it's open season name and shame!)
Love to all
