Before during and after! a lot of peeling paint so took it back to the wood before painting it black. Gotta go back and do the back door soon! A beautiful old Manor House

So my neighbour had agreed to paint my hall and stairs for £50 but just after he started he had an accident. This is how it looks now, I told him to get out as I was so mad, when i calmed down I went to talk to him and he said he couldn't do anything as it was a cash in hand job and as he had not even started painting I could keep the money I was going to pay him. Now I have this mess and I don't know what to do?
