Sometimes you have to step back and see how much things have changed 🌸

1. A small corner of our garden for me to grow a few flowers. Where I fell in love with sowing seeds and watching the flowers bloom.

2. Last year, when I took over our garden to grow as many flowers as I could possibly squeeze in. Dreaming of the day I would have a piece of land to fill with blooms and could start a dahlia breeding programme.

3. Earlier this year, standing on the land I had worked so hard to get. Planning every flower bed and every seed!

4. Today, planting out the Delphiniums that were sown last Autumn, and cared for during the winter. Over 200 of them!

The amount of work ahead is a little overwhelming but it will get done and will be beautiful 🌸

A farewell for Doris 🤍

Yesterday, a lovely family said goodbye to the matriarch of their family.

A wonderful lady who I was lucky enough to have known, my stepdaughters Great Nanny.

Although it’s out of season I was able to use some of my own foliage to create this garden casket spray.

It was truly an honour to have made this, thank you for trusting me with something so important 🤍

Mother’s Day is almost here. This week we have had lots of messages asking about our Mother’s Day offerings and sadly the flowers aren’t here yet.

As a seasonal flower farm we work and grow with the seasons, meaning the flowers arrive when nature wants them too, (usually May/June).

We do have options though.

February is when we can start sowing the Hardy Annual seeds. This year we are also juggling the logistics of an extra half acre of land and the barn renovation. It’s non stop decision making and planning.

Sometimes you just need to breathe, step away and look at photos of all the pretty flower’s!
