What started out as a routine job planting 5 Roses, led to me having to have major back reconstruction surgery! Took the top layer of turf of and went to dig the 1st hole for the rose and hit builders rubble and lots of it. Had to bring in two separate breakers and remove two tonnes of rubble, back fill with two tonnes of good soil plant the roses and mulch with bark chippings, the client wanted the smaller section also removed but with costs spiralling I suggested laying a gravel base and putting the roses in pots, which my back massively thanks her for she said yes! Nothings ever easy but if I’m going to do a job I’m going to do it well!
