A project completed in North Muskham in 2023. The client provided the drawing and we provided the magic.

160m2 of paving, combining two tones of the same "Burlington" porcelain, detailed with the sawn and polished granite cobbles

The seating area features our signature cedar floating bench. Built with 5mm box section steel, fixed and built into the block work, welded supports, primed and painted, built to last!

The spec of the seating area changed through the project from being square to curved, which added a number of further problems to solve. If you look closely you will see the tiles on the top of the planter are all individually cut on on the radius, and edges mitred front and back. 🫨. Days and days of cutting mitres but so glad we achieved what we were challenged with.

As always, let us know what you think! 😁

A project finished in Sutton last year.

80x80cm Montego Gris porcelain paving from our local suppliers - Tilbrook Interiors. Detailed with the amazing sawn and polished Portuguese granite setts πŸ‘Œ

The sunkern patio area features a Cedar floating bench, surrounding the fire pit we built from the surplus house bricks, tying in nicely.

The seating is built out from the rendered planter, which naturally has built-in log store, and a little shelf to keep the drinks out of the sun 🍻 πŸ₯‚

A very enjoyable local job for lovely people. Let us know what you think 😊

Time for our Annual post! πŸ˜…. A courtyard garden built in summer 2021. Franky the lab posing for the pics πŸ˜†

Fossil mint paving laid in herringbone pattern, stone walling creating the raised beds accompanied by Red Cedar fencing, trellis, and the floating bench centre peice!! Not to forget the mosaic tiles in the seating area.

We loved this one, let us know what you think πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

We are in the position to take on at least 2 full time members of staff, to join our grounds maintenance team!

If you are a passionate and experienced gardener and/or capable ground maintenance operative you might be just what we are looking for

We are offering piece rate/profit share on a growing number of activities within the business for those who wish to push themselves

If you love working outside, enjoy a good variation of tasks at work, and are an honest and trustworthy person then we are ready to welcome you into our close-nit team

A typical year working in our team will include:

- Garden maintenance – we hold contracts with various commercial and domestic clients, many with well established intricate gardens that require a high level of dedication and skill to maintain the standard expected, all year round

- Grass cutting – we have more than 100 sites we maintain using all sorts of machinery from walk-behind roller mowers, to zero turn and out-front commercial mowing machines. We have established a successful piece rate system on grass cutting for the opportunity to earn considerably more than your standard pay

- Hedge cutting – As with the grass contracts we have a large number of hedges we maintain, by use of hand held hedge cutters and tractor flail, we take particular pride in cutting our hedges perfectly straight!

- Tree work – pruning of small trees and fruit trees in the winter is a regular task, along with large tree works and removals with our climbers. This work involves using chainsaws, woodchippers and plant machinery.

- Commercial landscaping – autumn and winter generally means turfing and planting of trees and shrubs, usually on small building sites and in domestic settings

- Small landscaping projects – as we grow the need for the maintenance team to undertake small construction/landscaping projects and assisting the construction team on garden builds!

The Ideal candidate would hold :
- Full clean driving license
- Relevant horticultural qualifications
- B+E towing license
- Pa1 + Pa6 application of herbicide
- Cs30 use of chainsaw
- EFAW first aid certificate

Only a few days into the new year and our teams have been out smashing it this week!πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

This is a project we completed in South Muskham a little while ago, that I never got round to sharing. Personally one of my favourite projects so far! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Fire Pits are becoming more and more popular, but seem to be mostly in more contemporary gardens. By matching the brick and sandstone already used on the property, i think it turned out great, and kept in keeping with this amazing old farm house!

Let us know what you think!!πŸ˜ƒ

After being delayed by some very testing weather conditions before Christmas we are now complete on our North Wheatley project!

We installed concrete block work with reinforcing to retain the higher (soon to be) lawn area, including the necessary drainage relieving hydrostatic pressure from the heavily saturated clay earth.

Using the same 'Heather' brick as the house, we built the walls, steps, and custom-built bbq area! 'Ivory cream', italian porcelain forms the patio and steps, perfectly contrasting with the darker colouring of the brickwork.

Another example of our ability to create a garden from a simple sketch! To discuss your garden project don't hesitate to get in touch!

It's been quite a while since our last post, we have lots of completed projects to share from the last year..

The first is a little piece of the Mediterranean, tucked away in a back garden in Newark.

Black limestone paving forms the main surface, with a small raised lawn area, edged with sawn granite cobbles. The blockwork used to create the perimeter wall, planting beds, and fire pit area are rendered with Ivory Monocouche render. Finished with beautiful Western Red Cedar laths to give it the real contemporary look.

Every element of this construction was done with build quality and lifespan in mind, it really is built to last. Just the planting left to go in and new garden furniture - job done.

Thanks to Pete and Sharon for being brilliant - enjoy your new garden!

Day one at the Newark Ymca sports village on the first phase of landscaping. Starting by stripping back the mass of brambles and weeds then levelling the ground to make for a wild flower meadow. Planting and bank erosion matting to follow. Radio's on in the digger and we are cracking on!
