Nottingham Organic Gardeners

Nottingham Organic Gardeners We are local organic growers in Nottingham who love growing food and flowers using sustainable methods. We want to show other people how easy it is!

The garden on Whitemoor allotments is a focus for our activities and a venue for summer meetings and socials. We're demonstrating lots of different ways of growing organic food and plants, taking part in growing trials and trying different methods of organic gardening. Members and local volunteers without a garden or allotment are taking part in food growing and we welcome anyone with any experien

ce of gardening. Allotment Workparties are every other Saturday and every other Monday, at 10am - 2pm. Regular talks are also held at a local venue and they will be posted in our events section. Our best events last year include our Potato Day in January and having guest speakers like Alys Fowler come and talk to us about the Edible Garden

Well what an afternoon that was! Our Spring Lecture 2026 with was a huge success! Introduced by who shared the brilliant work of wilding campuses, we had a full house to hear Alysโ€™s talk all about peatlands, its importance and the complexity of the peat based industry in horticulture. She was absolutely brilliant and the feedback has been amazing!! Huge thanks to Alys. The afternoon included a range of local stalls, sharing experiences and sustainable plants, seeds and peat free compost as well as Five Leaves Books, where Alys kindly stayed and offered book signings. There was also tea and free Leucojums ( only at NOGs!) thanks for coming along and making the day such a success. Same time next year?!!
