Another recent satisfying job. Shaping some lovely specimen shrubs that have gotten out of hand.
Gave the circular patio grouting a little makeover too.

That Physocaprus opulifolius โ€˜Diaboloโ€™ is looking stunning. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Love a good summer prune to a Wisteria, what a wonderful thing to sit proudly at your front door!

A much needed job, not just to tidy it up and prevent the occasional whack to the face coming and going, but itโ€™s also to ensure more sunlight gets down into those branches to help ripen the developing flowering buds for next year.

More flowers? Yes please!

A proper satisfying job the other day. From jungle to order!

This walkway was thick with weeds and the hedge had been allowed to grow out quite far, making it impossible to walk down the path, but now it's a thing of the past.

Not only were the clients thrilled, but the neighbours were too.

About me and my career.

Hello all ๐Ÿ‘‹

My name is Aaron Belcher, a Gardener and Horticultural Consultant from Nottingham with a FdSc in Horticulture from Nottingham Trent University.
I have recently moved back to Nottingham to set up my own business as a gardener and offering advice on all things plant related after a few years away pursuing some slightly tropical ventures horticulturally in London and Cornwall.

After graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a FdSc in Horticulture I bagged a position at RBG Kew working with world experts in various plant families before heading to Cornwall to a private estate through the HBGTP scheme (Historic and Botanic Garden Training Program) a well known garden training program in conjunction with English Heritage where I honed my skills in propagation, estate management, plant identification, the use of a wide range of machinery and vehicles before heading off to Chatsworth Gardens.

At Chatsworth I continued to pursue my understanding in plant identification all the while developing a detailed understanding of fruit tree and bush pruning and maintenance, floristry and no dig gardening.

After graduating from the HBGTP scheme, a promotion to Senior Plantsman/Assistant Head Gardener was in order at Tregothnan. I oversaw Plant Records and Identification, lead the polytunnel operations, growing and propagation whilst training up the new HBGTP student.

All in all I was away from home for over 2 years, and it was time to return home and settle down, put down roots and continue my gardening career in a city I know and love - Nottingham!

I am thrilled and excited to bring my wealth of knowledge, passion for gardening to everyday peoples lives.

Let's nurture these wonderful spaces we call gardens! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒฟ
