Not sure how I feel about this, yes I agree they should of gotten a custodial sentence but the fact they went out of their way with absolute conviction in their actions to do what they did I also feel it's a bit on the light side.

One of the men's lawyers says felling the Sycamore Gap tree was an act of "drunken stupidity".

Now you see it, now you don't. We had the pleasure of removing a Monkey Puzzle (Araucaria araucana) or Chilean pine. Apart from having to climb wearing welding gloves so your hands don't become pin cushions it's not too bad. This one had outgrown it's space and there were a few concerns from the owner about it's proximity to their property. Tree gone, happy customer.

International cat rescue strikes again. Had a phone call just after 7pm of a familie's furry friend stuck up a ivy covered Sycamore in Hucknall that had been up there for 2 days and nearly it's third night, poor Millie had lost her tail previously and lost her nerve in trying to get down from her 40ft perch and even treats didn't encourage her down. A swift climb up to her (luckily she didn't climb any higher) and the cat was in the bag, literally. Unfortunately when I got down the owner went to retrieve her and she lept from their arms and made a swift exit for home around the corner where she was found mewing at the front door. All in all an eventful evening and one happy owner, only downside is I didn't even get a photo.

Massive thanks to Hucknall Tyre & Exhaust Centre yesterday for finally sorting my tracking out. We'd been to 5 other tyre centres claiming to do wheel alignment on all vehicles but with a twin wheeled Iveco Daily it seems they couldn't. So I got a new tyre and alignment (which was off the chart on toe angle both sides, damn kerbs) and it drives like it did when I picked it up from the dealer. They got me in on a Saturday morning and had it done within the hour, I'll definitely be going back.

They are just behind the Texaco garage on Hucknall bypass so easy to get to and you can go get a coffee from the garage whilst you wait.

Great customers today, enough coffee and tea to sail a ship on. The laurel hedge got a good cut finding the last time it was properly done around 3 seasons ago, Leylandii needed levelling and the Willow got a Pollard back to its previous cuts. All in all a great job for happy customers.

Busy day today. Removal of an Oak growing too close to shed (unfortunately you can't quite see it) and removal of the Spruce including the stump, you can see just how raised up above the grass. Not anymore, the stump grinder made short but messy work of it and now the lawn can finally be made a little flatter.

Our customer had two previous "tree surgeons" in over the last 5 years to prune their apple. Good job they rang us this time and we properly structured it for the future and gave it a hair cut.

Don't forget you've got until late February to get your Apple and Pear trees pruned before they burst their buds.

Our lovely Silver Birch (I say 'our' because we've done work on this over the last 8 years multiple times). As much of a crown reduction and thin as we can whilst taking it off the building and from the neighbours boundary. It always turns out so well, we could take so much more off but then it'd be like so many other Birch, just butchered for the sake of it.

Goes without saying, one very happy customer as usual 🙂

Well, we thought today was going to be a write off given the torrential downpour this morning, but we made ourselves busy elsewhere and then as soon as it stopped, rushed back to get the job done as promised.

30% crown reduction for the Silver Birch and the same for it's friend the Cherry. Was a little unorthodox as the overhang from the neighbouring garden was removed a few weeks before so we balanced them up as best we could 👍🏻
