🌳 Recent Crown Reduction Completed in Southwell 🌳

Our team recently carried out a crown reduction on a mature sycamore tree in Southwell which was located on the boundary of two properties.
The tree had become heavily overgrown, creating excessive shade to both gardens, interfering with nearby BT lines, and overhanging a public pavement.

As the tree fell within the Southwell Conservation Area, we handled the full planning notification process with Newark and Sherwood District Council on behalf of the customer before works could begin.

Using a MEWP allowed us to safely achieve a balanced natural shape while minimising risk to both operatives and surrounding property. All waste was removed from site and recycled for biomass ♻️

🌳 Emergency Call-Out – The Beehive Pub, Maplebeck 🍺

Turnbull & Son Ltd were called to the smallest pub in Nottinghamshire after a large Ash tree failed at the base, crashing over the highway, damaging the pub’s flat roof, and taking out BT lines in its path.

With the help of our in-house MEWP and 8 skilled operatives, we got the job done swiftly and safely 👷‍♂️💪

Turnbull & Son Ltd recently carried out essential cliff maintenance at Red Hill Roundabout.

🌳 Emergency Call-Out in Mansfield 🌳

Last week, our team at Turnbull & Son Ltd was called to deal with a giant oak tree that had fallen across a busy highway. For public safety, the remainder of the tree also had to be carefully removed.

STUMP GRINDING

If you would like a quote for the removal of tree stumps, please read the following information.

1. Identify the stump or stumps that need removing

2. Measure the diameter of the widest part of the stump

3. Measure the height of the stump from ground level

4. Specify where the stump is located

We recently completed a challenging tree removal project in collaboration with an ecologist from Via East Midlands. Our team of two operatives worked diligently to ensure everything was done safely and in accordance with environmental guidelines.

Before proceeding, we carried out a thorough bat survey to check for any wildlife. Thankfully, our findings confirmed there were no bats or protected species in the tree. Unfortunately, due to the tree’s severe disease and its location next to a highway, it had to be removed to ensure public safety.
