A simple change in colour placement can completely redefine a space.

For this staircase transformation, the handrail was updated from white to black, creating a stronger architectural statement and adding contrast against the softer palette. We also reversed the wall colours, introducing white to the lower panelling while taking Ammonite by Farrow & Ball across the upper walls and ceiling.

This subtle shift draws the eye upward, enhances the sense of height, and creates a more cohesive, contemporary feel while still respecting the home’s character.

Proof that sometimes, it’s not about adding more — it’s about placing colour with intention.

When your almost 7 year old going on 57 decides pink is no longer on the agenda and requests a more “grown-up” bedroom in browns and creams… naturally, I delivered.

She took full creative control — choosing each shade, deciding where every colour would go, and even opting for a full colour drench. I just brought her vision to life.

The result is a space that feels calm, cosy, and surprisingly sophisticated — proof that great design has no age limit.

Safe to say, she’s got impeccable taste.

This space was all about adding character and soul 🤍

By introducing a dado rail and full wainscote panelling, we completely changed the feel of the room — taking it from plain and modern to something far more traditional, warm, and inviting. The added detailing creates depth, texture, and that timeless, homely charm that makes you instantly want to sit down and stay a while.

Paired with soft neutrals, layered textures, and darker accents, the panelling frames the space beautifully and gives it a quiet confidence.

Sometimes it’s not about changing everything… just adding the right details.
