Following on from yesterdays post about turning your water off. Ive just learned that one of the customers with water damage did NOT have a valid boiler certificate. Ie A home owners gas certificate or equivalent and their insurance is invalid. Loss adjusters mentioned £60k to £100k for repairs and replace.

Just a quick reminder if you're going on holiday. TURN YOUR WATER OFF AT THE STOP TAP/COCK. I have had 3 calls in the last week following the freezing temperature's we've just had. All are looking at thousands of pounds to reinstate plaster, ceilings carpet, etc. Not forgetting you cannot put a price on sentimental items. So please don't forget to turn off the water the supply.
