So since September 2006 we have closed our doors to our great customers for the last time.

On behalf of my team and I, previous colleagues and Andy Spence who managed the store for many years we wanted to say thank you to all of our customers and for being so understanding throughout these challenging few weeks.

Finally to my team.
I have managed Homebase stores for 36 years but have to say its been a pleasure leading this group, they are absolute stars.

Like many of you our team found out the plans for the store via social Media and I'm sure you will agree this is not the best way to have found out.

Naturally that has upset the team as we feel nobody has been honest with us from day one and our emotions may have allowed us to interpret some comments incorrectly.

As a team we never asked for preferential treatment, we simply asked,could we be guaranteed an Interview with any new business and that couldn't even happen.

A gentle reminder that if you have a stock we are storing for you then it would be good if you could collect ASAP. Once the store is closed they keys will be handed to the landlord so obviously their will no access.
