Easy maintenance shower:

The client requested panel installation as was worried that the grout would get dirty over time,
So we managed to persuade them to these marble effect glazed tiles and epoxy grout which is fully waterproof and will not discolour over time.

All the shower area was also waterproofed for additional peace of mind.

Just waiting for the shower screen .

After all these birthday celebrations it's time to get back to reality!

Something different to tiling this week, as currently we are completing a garage conversion for regular clients.
Building control is happy with everything so it's time for boarding.

This will become a very useful office space with a pretty good view (once a new window is installed)

This week we traveled all the way to Poole. Thanks to .uk we had the pleasure of helping install this very new cladding system with 6mm porcelain tiles.
This system is a complete game changer and we are very lucky to be one of the few people in the UK to install it.

900x900mm tiles installed in the kitchen annex and shower room. Scribed with 2-3mm tolerance to uneven textured wall.

Prep work:
🔸40mm of Keracem screed
🔸50mm insulation board
🔸Tanking
🔸Decoupling membrane
🔸 Door Matt area self leveled to required height.

Pedestal system:
Why did we use it instead of traditional tile adhesive and grout.

Mainly to elevate this patio area by around 100mm to required height over the existing flat roof without need for "building up" with other materials.

We were also able to create a perfectly level patio as water will drain in between the slabs. And considering most of the slabs have a slight bow in them this actually works as an advantage and water naturally runs off.

But I think the biggest benefit is that this installation was almost 50% cheaper compared to using tile adhesive and grout.

This system is also a great solution if you need to hide any services like cable's and draining and slabs can be lifted at any time for maintenance or repair.

So if you have a terrace or balcony this could be an easier way to give it that fresh look.
