‼️ If you are travelling in County Durham this Sunday, please be aware that the annual Durham Easter Egg run is taking place from 10am.

The charity ride will see hundreds of bikers meet at Tesco at Dragonville Retail Park before riding to Darlington Memorial Hospital and then to University Hospital of North Durham.

The bikers are delivering Easter eggs to children at the hospitals.

We expect considerable disruption to traffic in the general areas of Durham City, the A167 to Darlington, Darlington town centre, the A68 out of Darlington, School Aycliffe Lane, the A167 north to Durham City and Sniperley roundabout to Southfield Way.

If you are due to be driving in these areas between 10am to 1pm, please be aware there will be congestion on the roads as the bikers make their way to the hospitals.

As you know, we at Brittons install defibrillators on behalf of Red Sky Foundation .
But today we were asked to remove one from Washington Leisure Centre, after being vandalised numerous times and having repairs carried out many times. The centre do still have a defibrillator inside the reception area.
This was a sad thing to do, to have to remove this life saving piece of equipment.
I certainly hope I don't get asked to remove another vandalised one.
Please support this fantastic charity in any way you can.

Eleven years ago today, the sun rose and painted the sky in the most extraordinary shade of red. As that red sky stretched across the morning clouds, a team of cardiologists and surgeons were working tirelessly to save the life of a little girl called Luna ❤️

That moment became the beginning of something far greater than anyone could have imagined. Luna’s story became the heartbeat behind Red Sky Foundation, inspiring our founders to give back and support thousands of babies, children and adults who need life-saving cardiac care.

Today we celebrate Luna, the reason it all began, and the countless lives that have been touched over the past eleven years.

Yesterday we installed 4 defibrillators on behalf of Red Sky Foundation .
Emmaus NorthEast in south shields were first then onto John Duckworth funeral directors in South Shields also. (The irony of installing a life saving defibrillator at a funeral directors isn't lost on me).
Then it was away to Ryhope to install at The Railway Inn pub and finally to Roker for The Salvation Army.

Outside lights we've just finished in Birtley.
Up down spotlights with warm white lamps. All run through a photocell, so when it gets dark they automatically come on, then switch off when it gets light.

Last week we installed another defibrillator at Oakley Park in Stanley and tomorrow we have another 4 to be installed.

Today was a Red Sky Foundation day.
Installing of two life saving defibrillators.
First one at Emmaus Village in consett.
Second was at Jarrow Conservative Club.

Outside lighting done. House in Chester-Le-Street. Lighting works via a photocell. Lights automatically come on when it gets dark and switch off when it gets light.
