The guts are away and the bathroom from my last post is done, barring the door handles and new panels on the basin unit (issues with suppliers, can't trust the big stores!)

Love the herringbone tiles on the wall, which JMK Tiling Page smashed out with blood, sweat and tears. I heard it's his favourite pattern to do.

Just finished this first fix for a family bathroom. Maybe I'm weird but I like seeing the guts of a room before it gets put back together again.

The waste pipe for the bath was above the floor level, but would have been a nightmare to move as it exited into a roof void above the downstairs extension. Instead, we built the joists up by 100mm to raise the freestanding bath, supported by 18mm marine plywood, the same I used to provide a solid base for the shower tray.

The original tiles had been laid on plywood, which had been glued onto the floorboards and ruined them despite our best efforts to preserve them. Additionally to this there were two large patches of damp where water had been able to permeate through the tiles. A new floor was laid on the joists with big props to my old man , who did the vast majority of the legwork while I danced around sorting the pipes out.

Ready and waiting for JMK Tiling Page to smash out the tiling and get the second fix done, with a much more sexy looking bathroom to show off for the next post!

Just finished this bath-to-shower conversion for lovely family. Interesting first for me was cutting across the window with the shower frame, but I'm fairly happy with the result!

Shower is a 1200 x 900 textured tray for extra grip and with a gorgeous enclosure with a sliding door. The old shower fitting was meant to be retained but was found to be leaking inside the wall, so the client chose to upgrade this for a rainfall design instead.

The tray, enclosure and rainfall shower were all provided by in Barry, who you should absolutely be going to for decent, quality products, helpful advice and expertise.

That beautiful tiling was again done by JMK Tiling Page, who I think crushed it blending into the existing tiles. The only giveaway for where the newly laid tiles start is the fresh grout, so props for a great job.

Lovely bathroom for a couple of my favourite clients back in June. I came and did the first and second fix plumbing for this, dancing around the tiler, electrician, and the client's dad doing the floors.

Really liked the choice of midnight blue vanity (or whatever that blue is - I'm a plumber, not an interior designer), especially with the matching radiator tying it all together.

10/10 for the silly bath mat as a finishing touch.

Throwback to March with these new radiators installed for a house renovation in Cardiff. The pipework was exposed and the floors were already down, so the client elected to have the pipework surface mounted rather than chase them into the walls.

Personally I love a bit of exposed copper, but that's because I've made plumbing at least 60% of my personality. I'm glad the client was on my wavelength for this one 🙌

Just finished up the plumbing of this lovely wet room in Cardiff. Basin and WC both installed with vanity units, a new, larger towel rail in place of the old and a square profile shower with a rainfall head.

Well, it's been over a year since I was going to get on top of my socials. Trust me, I'm better at plumbing than I am doing this sort of admin.

Will be drip feeding the photos of work I've been doing over the last year where I've taken them, and going to be focusing more on showcasing the projects I've been getting up to in the future.

For now, have a gander at these lovely radiators, which I installed at my tiler's place. Watch this space and I'll have a link to his page with a lovely wet room bathroom we've been completing in Cardiff.
