Been an interesting 24 hours. Named and not shamed on 'Edinburgh cowboy builders'😂
Did I fail to complete a job? No
Did I leave a substandard finish? No
I politely declined to price a job. Why? 2 reasons-
1- Im genuinely snowed under now, working evening and weekends to try and keep to deadlines
2- After a good few years of interacting with various clients no matter the scale of the job, I feel I have a good grasp on 1st impressions. The guy gave of very odd vibes. This was confirmed when I told him I wouldn't be pricing the job he then stated he already had a price and wanted to use him, not a problem. Yeh he has continued to call and message asking for an estimate for a job I never had any chance of getting.
I have and will continue to be horrendous at paperwork, if I take too long to get back to anyone then please just give me a little nudge and ill do my best to get back to you as soon as I can
From 1st contact to final hand over im the only person you'll deal with, its the personal touch but it also comes with the drawback of me doing everything and unfortunately it also means I do miss or forget things
A reputation takes years to build and can be ruined in 1 post, fortunately for me this time I had the evidence to show he was talking nonsense
Thank you to all previous, current and future clients for all your support
