A few weeks ago, the team stepped away from the office and headed down to Penzance for a team day together.

We started the day at The Gardener's House within Morrab Gardens, a beautifully restored building that provided the perfect space for team discussions, collaboration and lunch! Then we headed over to Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens where we spent the afternoon exploring the amazing gardens and sculptures, whilst enjoying some time together away from the studio.

A great day all round filled with inspiration, conversation and plenty of fresh air!

We recently presented this model to our clients in virtual reality - an experience they thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish! The proposed designs look to create a home that better suits the needs of the family and modern living, with carefully considered changes that improve functionality, flow and the overall day to day in the space.

Using VR allows clients to fully immerse themselves in the design long before construction begins, giving them the chance to explore spaces, understand scale and proportions and experience the flow of the home in real time. It's an invaluable part of the design process. helping bring ideas to life and giving clients greater confidence in the final proposals.

The proposed alterations focus on refining existing openings, updating external finishes and reworking the internal layout to create a more efficient and cohesive living space for our clients. While the property footprint remains unchanged, thoughtful design changes will completely enhance how the home looks, feels and functions.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with our clients, working to reconfigure their home and improve thermal efficiency. We were appointed through to Stage 4 and securing a Building Control approval. Even better to see the designs now brought to life with the team at Husk Construction🛠️

Here's a clip from one of our VR walkthroughs with the clients👀

This collaborative session helped bring the scheme to life in real time, allowing the clients to fully experience the spaces, flow, and proportions of the property. Following this, the team has been working through the planning and technical stages, and the application is now awaiting Building Control approval.

We're really pleased to share that planning approval has been granted for this latest project🎉

The scheme focuses on an internal reconfiguration of the existing home, alongside carefully considered openings to the front elevation and reworking of the external terrace. The result is a more fluid way of living, enhancing day-to-day functionality while making better use and strengthening to connection between internal and external spaces.

Last month the team got out of the office to take part in a litter pick as part of the Surfers Against Sewage Million Mile Clean♻️🌊

As Ocean Network members, we're committed to helping keep our rivers and shorelines clean, playing our part in protecting wildlife and reducing pollution across our waterways. In total we collected 8.6kg of litter! A small effort that contributes to a much bigger impact🌎

With Building Control approval now secured for the proposed scheme, our clients are getting closer to starting works on site.

It's a great stage in the project and marks the transition from design development into delivery, as the vision begins to move towards reality on site! We're looking forward to following along and seeing construction get underway soon.
