Hello everyone, I've been a bit quiet on the old Instagram recently. This is such a busy time of year, I'm planting out as fast as I can. Digging over beds, potting on, hardening plants off and generally feeling the overwhelm of this time of year. The weather is a bit crazy, full winter woolies one miniute and T shirts the next. Hopefully the newly planted out cut flowers will be just fine 🙂
Oh May is such fun it reminds me of why I love what I do, even if at times it has me in tears because I feel I can't do it all fast enough.
My daughter gave me a pep talk this morning as I was literally sobbing on the phone.... Mum you are just one person, doing the best you can ( with one arm, as i have frozen shoulder 🙄) it doesn't matter if it doesn't all happen right now, you will get there eventually and it will look beautiful. And don't forget this happens every year 🤣
She is so correct... wise words from my 21 year old who has witnessed this annual melt down.

If you asked me what I would recommend as a real value for money plant, meet Geum ' totally tangerine' 🍊
These plants flower all summer long. Here they start flowering in time to perk up a jug of late flowering scented narcissi and they will repeat flower all the way to the first frosts.
Totally tangerine is a slightly taller variety of Geum, as I want straight stems for cutting, I make them a little support frame using hazel cut from the Lima woodland.
