HEN PARTY GOALS! Flowers, fizz, friends, family and gorgeous sunshine! ☀️ 🌸🥂

We had such a fun day yesterday teaching Laura and her beautiful hens bouquets, buttonholes, bud vases and meadow boxes ahead of her wedding in a couple weeks. 💕

We were so lucky with the weather and able to host the workshop outside (I did a lot of sunshine dances!) 💃🙏☀️

This is the second hen party we’ve hosted in (and out!) of our new workshop in the last couple of weeks and we are excited to share we will be advertising more workshops very soon! Stay tuned (our newsletter subscribers will be the first to know, you can sign up via our website).

I just love adding sweet pea tentacles to bouquets! 😍🌱

I wanted this bouquet to feel uplifting, hopeful and summery for the receiver, I’m hoping it made them smile.

The late spring flowers have finally arrived! After what feels like a long wait with the tulips and ranunculus finishing their season early this year, I am so delighted to see some new flowers blooming! 😍🌸🌼

We have a busy week ahead, first stop tomorrow, a beautiful wild wedding, our June subscription bouquets, a private hen party workshop and some fabulous wholesale florist orders, let’s go! 💪

The reason behind the name… 🌻

Getting the name of the flower farm right was really important to me when starting my little business. I wanted it to reflect the provenance of the flowers whilst also capturing my personality and the floral style I aspired to create. Another thing high on my wish list was alliteration — something I’ve always loved.

After lots of brainstorming (and getting my family to choose their favourite!), I finally settled on Wild and Welsh Flower Farm.

Wild — to reflect my personality, the flowers I love, and the natural, romantic style I hope my floristry will continue to grow into.
Welsh — to celebrate where my flowers are grown (my Welsh beauties!).

Sixteen months in, and I still absolutely love the name — but I’d love to know what you think 🌸

Today I was very entertained to learn my valerian is taller than me! Yes it’s the small things that really tickle me! 😅🙈 I may have officially gone mad in this heat!

The flowers on this girl though, I am absolutely loving them, beautiful wild feel with nice strong stems, I feel this will be in a bouquet very soon! 💜
