We’re delighted to confirm that works have now started at Nanturras Way following the successful discharge of planning conditions. 🚧⛺

The scheme will transform the site into a new campsite, complete with a purpose-built ablutions block to provide quality facilities for future visitors.

After a particularly wet and windy spell of weather across the area, the team will be working carefully to manage ground conditions, but it’s fantastic to see the project getting underway.

We’re excited to see this new facility take shape and will share further updates as progress continues.

Planning + Listed Building Consent secured ✔️

We’re delighted to have approval for the careful transformation of a Grade II listed Regency home in Penzance.

The proposals introduce a modest contemporary rear extension, creating a light-filled sunroom that connects seamlessly to the garden, alongside internal reconfiguration to improve accessibility, circulation and everyday living.

The design has been developed to respect the building’s historic significance, preserving the principal façade and roofscape while replacing unsympathetic lean-to additions with a high-quality, subservient intervention that supports the home’s long-term future.

A thoughtful balance between heritage and modern living and a great result for our Clients.

✨ Project Showcase – Helnoweth Cottages ✨

We were delighted to assist our Clients with the planning and design for the transformation of their charming 19th-century cottage in the historic village of Gulval, Cornwall.

The project involved converting the attached garage into a light-filled kitchen & dining space, with a new master bedroom above - blending traditional character with modern family living.

Given the property’s historic setting, we took a sensitive approach, carefully considering local context, materials, and detailing to ensure the extension felt like a natural continuation of the home. Replicating the original stonework, roof pitch, and window proportions was key to achieving a design that sits harmoniously within its surroundings.

Inside, the layout was reimagined to improve flow. Creating a flexible open-plan living space, converting the old kitchen into a utility and WC, and connecting the new kitchen/dining area to the garden beyond.

The result? A home that combines functionality, space, and heritage – much to the delight of our Clients.

CHA are pleased to share that our Buryas Bridge project was granted conditional Building Regulations approval and is progressing well on-site! 🚧✨

Following the recently granted Planning Permission and production of the Building Regulations package, we’re excited to see works progressing on this contemporary rear extension in Cornwall.

The design includes:
◾️ A spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area on the ground floor ✔️
◾️ A new master suite with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite above ✔️
◾️ Additional bedroom and bathroom spaces for flexibility ✔️
◾️ High-quality detailing, including pre-patinated copper standing seam cladding to the first floor ✔️

This milestone marks the transition from drawings to reality, and we look forward to sharing updates as the build develops over the coming months.
