What a fantastic evening celebrating apprentices and their achievements at the Apprentice of the Year Awards at UHI Perth last night.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that our Apprentice Fenestration Installer, Kenzie Fagan, was named Modern Apprentice (SCQF Level 5) of the Year! 🏆

Kenzie has worked exceptionally hard throughout his apprenticeship and consistently goes above and beyond. It was wonderful that his family could join him to celebrate this well-deserved achievement.

Sidey was also proud to be recognised as a finalist in the Apprentice Employer of the Year category. This recognition reflects the time, effort, and commitment of everyone involved in our Training Academy.

A special mention must go to our Community Benefits Manager, Donna Montgomery, whose dedication to the Academy and our apprentices is exceptional.

Congratulations to Kenzie, all the winners and every finalist - you should all be extremely proud of your achievements!

UHI Perth Developing the Young Workforce, Tay Cities Perth and Kinross Council

We’re proud to have donated £300 towards the Growing Together Playground Development fundraiser on behalf of Lisa Sime, our Sales Manager.

Led by a dedicated group of parents at Viewlands Primary School in Perth, the project aims to transform the school’s outdated playground into a safe, inclusive and sustainable outdoor space where every child can play, learn and enjoy time together.

Thanks to the Aviva Foundation match funding, our donation helped take the fundraiser beyond its target – a milestone that meant so much to the parents who have put their time, energy and determination into making this project happen.

It’s wonderful to see a local community come together to create something that will benefit children at Viewlands for many years to come, and we’re very pleased to have played a small part in helping them reach their goal. ❤️

Sidey are proud to support Ayrshire Housing's commitment to helping more children enjoy reading at home📚

By helping to remove cost as a barrier, this initiative is giving local children greater access to books and the opportunity to develop a love of reading from an early age.

A fantastic initiative making a meaningful difference to children and families across the local community.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton, whose vision and generosity have inspired millions of children around the world through the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

As proud members of the Imagination Library, Ayrshire Housing and our partners Sidey Solutions Ltd and Radbury Double Glazing Ltd remain committed to ensuring as many children across South Ayrshire as possible can benefit from this fantastic programme. Every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of books, spark their imagination, and develop a lifelong love of reading.

In honour of Dolly's incredible legacy, we are more determined than ever to work with local nurseries, early years centres, and Ayrshire Housing tenant families to help more children access free, high-quality books each month.

Today, we celebrated our wonderful Administration Assistant, Wendy, as she retires after an incredible 23 years with Sidey.

The team marked the occasion with a special lunch and a presentation of gifts. Our Joint Managing Director thanked Wendy for her many years of loyal service, noting that her kindness and warm nature will be greatly missed.

We wish Wendy all the very best as she sets sail - quite literally - on her next chapter. You will be sorely missed by everyone at Sidey! ⛵💐
