The The McManus: Dundee's Art Gallery & Museum has a great exhibition on just now. Curtain Call: Costumes from Stage and Screen showcases costume designers associated with Dundee. Some stunning artwork and beautifully made clothing on display. The McManus is free, and has lots of other exhibitions suitable for husbands/kids who have no interest in costume design!

While I think there is a place for digital art, I love the rich colours produced by oil inks, and the textures created by lifting these inks onto paper from a woodcut. Here in Scotland during Spring, male pheasants can become very aggressive and territorial. This pheasant patrols the woodland cemetery where my Dad is buried. Ted the terrier and I had to sneak around to visit his grave. When the pheasant re-encountered us, he chased us out the gate and down the road! Despite his bald head, he was very handsome.

There is a lovely circular walk you can do from the pretty village of Errol down to the reed beds of the River Tay. They are an amazing sight - reeds as far as you can see, and which tower over you.
