got a call to this job where the customer tried a bit of diy but soon realised it was out of their league and needed a professional finish .

pva was applied to the filler they had used scrim tape to all board joins and thin coat angle beads applied to external corners . then 2 coats of multi finish plaster to give this room a perfectly flat finished ceiling and walls ready for painting .

here the ceiling was overboarded , the walls were drylined . then the whole room given a fresh coat of plaster all ready for painting and second fix Carpentry

fitted this in this afternoon after boarding a ceiling and prepping walls on another job in the morning.
the original walls were decorative wallpaper so every care was take to leave no trace of plaster on them .... clean tidy square edges if you know you know 👊

scrape back artex and overskim of 2 ceilings one en suite one master bedroom.
properly prepared with pva then two coats of multi finish over the top ... 2 nice new flat ceilings ... we will be back at this property soon to do the same to the kitchen ceiling

so this job we had to lower the ceiling slightly so the aqua boards being fitted didn't need to be joined.
counter battened the ceiling with 4 x2 fixed to the ceiling joists . then a layer of 15mm plasterboard finished off with 2 layers of multi finish plaster .

old render removed and a fresh new application of johnstones stormshield render applied in ivory .
we've been using this system a while now and find it very user friendly it also comes in lots of colours and textures.

Saturdays are for skimming..this little extension was boarded by the customer who then scrimmed and filled all the joints, a plasterers worst nightmare, we had to pva before skimming it out but we got there and it turned out a good job and the customer was over the moon with the end result..
