This beautiful kitchen in Conington is 17 years old and showing no signs of aging, it just simply needed a refresh!
The panelling above the worktop was resprayed alongside the kitchen cabinets.
All work was completed within 6 days with the kitchen been partially inaccessible for a mere two nights.

More fantastic work by HC carpentry and construction

MDF is a great material to work with but it does require a lot of prep work to create a professional sprayed finish. It's more a case of Refinishing than just painting.

MDF is square, straight and reliable for the joiner.
To paint it needs 2-3 coats of primer, edges filling and sanding, sanding down to P400 between coats, two top coats of Anker Stuy Coatings UK eggshell.

Some people believe spraying creates a smooth flawless finish. It's quite the opposite, it highlights every imperfection. The painter creates a perfect base for the paint. 2 days of filling and sanding went into this job!

A job like this would cost £1600-£2000

It was a pleasure working in this stunning home in Tugby in Leicestershire.

The cabinets had only been sprayed two years ago by someone else. They'd used a 2K paint but it was all chipping off!

Fortunately the customer had faith in my work after seeing my work elsewhere and seeing it prove to be durable over time (Kimberley Tordoff).

I have no doubt this customer will be fine for many years with the quality prep I carried out and selection of professional products.

New soft close hinges and new plugs to screw into in the carcasses were fitted.

The job cost £2750 all in. Not bad for such a transformation! If I say so myself 😆
