I think one of the funniest parts of working in interiors is how often people apologise for actually living in their house.

Clients will panic about toys being out, a blanket on the sofa, washing on the radiator, or the fact the kitchen “usually isn’t this messy” while I’m standing there thinking… this is literally the nicest part.

You can always tell when a home is loved and honestly, those are the houses I connect with most. I’m never walking around judging the mess or noticing what isn’t finished. My brain is usually moving at 100mph imagining what the home could become whilst holding onto the feeling that already makes it so special.
