A big impact left on this garden in Milehouse today with a big scale cut and clear.

Large Ivy and Bramble plants had really taken hold of this outdoor space, over shadowing the whole garden. The thick stems have rooted deep into the stones and absolutely covered the full length of the fence.

Cutting and clearing as much foliage and stems as possible really opens up this garden allowing so much more light into the space.

This customers was extremely happy at the end and so where we.

Flora Friday

We believe sharing knowledge with each other is the best way to grow and learn about the world around us and what better place to start than our very own gardens. As we follow the seasons this year we will endevour to share a plant that has stood out to us each week.

Ajuga commonly known as Bugle is this weeks highlighted plant. The deep purple colours of this variety really attracts the bees and pollenators. As I sat for a few minutes no less than 4 different species of bees came and went going from flower to flower.

A brilliant ground cover plant that grows fast by sending runners out which send out short spires of tiny flowers of purple or white. This one is positoned in full sun but they happily enjoy dappled shade and rely on damp soil, we think they look amazing paired with spring bulbs or inbetween early perennials.

Some recent work carried out for one of our regular customers in Honicknowle who requested a freshen up of the walls throughout the front a rear gardens.

After pressure washing all surfaces, a ten litre tub of Dulux weathershield brings a bright new look to this customers outside space.

We think it looks really fresh and the customer was very happy.

What a beautiful hot day it was today!

I made a big impact in this customer's beautiful garden in the south Hams today.

Clearing up the steps that lead from the bottom of the garden to the cabin at the very top, followed by a big cut back of the grass under the apple trees, around the kids play area and poly tunnel and finishing the day cutting the front lawn and a quick tidy of the driveway.

With the weather so hot i made sure to drinl plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day!

I recently got the chance to work at this beautiful garden in the picturesque village of Buckland Monachorum.

This customers tenancy was coming to an end and they wanted to ensure the overgrown garden was left nice and tidy for the next tenants.

After a good grass cut I was able to get round and completely w**d, cut back and clear around the pond and raised beds. I then finished with giving all the hedges, shrubs and bushes a good trim and reshaping.

The customers were over the moon with the end result and even the landlord who was on site said he was extremely pleased with the work done.

Sunny morning in Elburton and this customer called us for a lawn tidy up.

A good strim brought the grass height down to a manageable length then a good heavy mow on a higher setting followed by a strim around the edges and a second run with the mower but this time on a lower setting to ensure a nice close cut.

On the second cut that the grass is picked up by the mower and removed off the lawn to ensure its left looking tidy.

After that the lawn all the hedges had a good cut back and shaping, leaving this customer very happy with their tidy garden.

A nice busy morning in Saltash today. After a short spell of rain which quickly passed over, the rest of the day was full of that beautiful sunshine.

Working along the back wall/fence in this garden to clear all the bind w**d, brambles and grass that had overgrown in the border. Leaving a nice open border ready to for this customer to shape and plant into adding some colour into this part of the garden.

Once that was completed a quick trim of the bushes to keep them looking tidy followed by a heavy cut of the lawn and edging leaves this customers garden looking really nice.

Fences eventually end up needing to be replaced usually because the fence posts rot and become unstable.

This customer's fence had definitely seen better days, rotten posts had made it unstable and the feather edge boards were coming away. We worked hard to completely remove the old one and replaced it with a brand new fence.

The customer and neighbour also requested a cut out so they could speak to each other which we easily put in. The new fence looks great, matches the old one leaving the customer very happy.

A big grass cutting day today at this beautiful garden in the South Hams.

This picturesque 2 acre countryside garden is made up of lots of different areas including an orchard, walled garden, polytunnel, large pond, veg plot and also has a river that runs along side.

It's always so fascinating to watch this garden progress through the seasons, especially how much it comes to life during the spring and summer.

With a huge array of wildlife calling this place home, from butterflies, woodpeckers, grass snakes, rabbits heron and deer It really is a pleasure to come and work for this customer.
