Two projects visited today in & around Kingsbridge. Dan & I often work on our own projects & check in as we go, but today with both sites nearby we were able to spend the day working together, just like we did when we first started out.

Our first visit was to a Listed shop front that was sadly damaged when a car crashed into it late last year. We’re now preparing the consent required for its careful reconstruction.

The second was a beautiful residential property tucked further into the South Hams, where we’re exploring external landscaping, solar shading and outdoor pool proposals.

Amazing achievement; Dan completed the Plymouth Half Marathon today! In 1hr 56mins 👏and has raised over £1,100 so far for Plymouth Neonatal Intensive Care in the meantime. Great atmosphere on the Hoe today & so many amazing runners!

Well done to all the runners including those we spotted your were all looking on top form!! 😍 🏃🏻‍♂️

This Sunday 17th May, Crayon Partner Dan is running the Plymouth Half Marathon in memory of our daughter Sophie, raising money through Sophie's Smiles to support neonatal care at Derriford Hospital.

Dan has been dedicated to his training and inspiring our 2nd daughter Heidi along the way!

Sophie wasn’t premature, but she was very poorly and spent over three weeks in NICU. Over the following 4 months, our lives were shared between Derriford and Bristol Children’s Hospital, and the care, compassion and dedication of the teams in both hospitals meant more to our family than words can say.

It’s been a little while since we’ve done anything in Sophie’s memory, but this feels like the right moment to do something positive and purposeful in her name.

Plymouth Hospitals General Charity supports the work of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, funding equipment, facilities and family support that go beyond what NHS funding alone can provide.

Sunshine at last! A well timed site meeting in Kingsand today with Crayon will be overseeing Contract Administration & Principal Designer roles for this house refurbishment. We look forward to sharing more soon.

A slightly delayed Happy New Year!

We’re back in the new office & straight into a busy start, catching up with ongoing projects & new enquiries. January is always our busiest month, after some lovely festive family time at home It’s often when ideas start forming about extending, refurbishing, or starting something new.

Here are a few projects we're working on this year, including some house extensions, home refurbishments & plot developments across Plymouth, South Devon, Dartmoor & Cornwall.

Festive team vibes & new office era!

When Crayon moved offices this year, we decided instead of taking our own space, we created one shared studio with two other local businesses! & Re:Test Group.

Today we celebrated our first shared Christmas do, great food, sea views, winter sunshine, and even better company 🎄✨

Thank you for a lovely Christmas quiz & breakfast. The weather was miserable, but this event always feels like the start of Christmas celebrations.

Our table somehow pulled off another quiz win (3 yrs in a row!) At this point I’m convinced we should take the team national! I'll bring the pens and snacks 😂 🎄

Thanks to the committee for organising such a warm & relaxed event. So nice to see everyone, hear from the charities & catch up.

A wonderful night at the 'Keep Me Close' charity ball 2025. Thank you to for the invitation 🤍 This is a charity very close to our hearts. From when our first daughter spent 25days at NICU Derriford, before being transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.

provides vital accommodation for parents & families so they can stay close to their sick or premature babies during their time in NICU , an absolutely invaluable service.
