Welcome to the South Devon escape that is

Having built a thriving glamping business around traditional safari tents, our client wanted to take the next step - creating a warm, comfortable retreat that guests could enjoy throughout every season.

Martin House was designed and built as a year-round, safari tent-style cabin, bringing guests close to the outdoors while offering the shelter and comfort needed in all weather.

Returning over a year later to see it settled into the landscape felt really special. What began as ideas, drawings and workshop details is now a place that holds real guest experiences.

In true British summer fashion, the weather gave us a bit of everything - heavy downpours across the corrugated exterior, followed by soft breaks of sun that brought a stillness to the whole setting.

Peaceful, grounding and deeply connected to the elements.

A truly unique space, and a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

We’re off to the Royal Cornwall Show!

This week marks our first time exhibiting at the , and we’re really excited to be bringing Life Space Cabins to such an iconic Cornish event.

We’ll be there to talk all things design, build and handcrafted cabin spaces - from guest accommodation and luxury holiday lets, to garden studios, annexes and bespoke architectural projects.

Whether you’re planning a commercial site, exploring a one-off cabin, or simply curious to see what we do, we’d love you to come and say hello.

A lovely Open Day at Life Space HQ

The South Devon sun showed up for our Open Day, and it was a real pleasure to welcome so many of you to Life Space Cabins HQ.

It was a brilliant chance to open the workshop doors and share what we’re currently working on… from bespoke architectural spaces and luxury holiday rentals, through to family annexes, home garden studios and characterful lifestyle cabins.

At the moment, our workshop is full of exciting builds, including four large bespoke cabins for ‘s newest destination at Eshott Hall, a beautifully crafted family annexe cabin nearing completion, and our show Potager Hut (garden cabin).

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, explored the cabins and shared your project ideas with us. We loved hearing what you’re hoping to create.

If you couldn’t make it this time, we offer booked visits throughout the year. These give you dedicated time with our team to explore the cabins, talk through your ideas and find the right route for your project.

We’re excited to be working with on their newest destination at , a historic estate set within the Northumberland countryside, under the talented eye of .

As part of the wider vision for Wildhive Eshott Hall, we’ve been appointed to create a collection of five luxury wooden cabins- each designed to offer experiential stays that sit gently within the landscape.

Shaped by Wildhive’s ethos of celebrating nature, locality and considered design, each cabin is being thoughtfully crafted to provide a quiet, restorative experience - balancing contemporary architecture with the heritage of the hall, which dates back to the early 14th century.

This forms part of an exciting transformation of the estate, including beautifully reimagined interiors, wellness spaces, and a wider accommodation offering designed to feel both characterful and deeply connected to its surroundings.

We’re looking forward to sharing more as the project progresses - watch this space as it all comes together ahead of a summer 2026 opening.

Behind the scenes of an installation day.

Most of our larger cabins are built at our South Devon HQ, then carefully transported to site via HIAB. This approach not only improves build efficiency, but also keeps on-site disruption to a minimum.

Installation is quick and seamless - typically completed in just a few days, with the crane lift itself taking only a matter of hours.

With over 10 years of experience, our dedicated team have refined this process to deliver smooth, efficient installations every time.

Open Days are something we’re placing more and more importance on.

For many of our clients, a cabin build is a significant investment - so it’s not just about the design, it’s about the people behind it. Meeting face-to-face, getting a feel for how we work, and understanding whether we’re the right fit for you is just as important as the build itself.

Just as importantly, seeing a cabin in person makes all the difference. Experiencing the scale, the materials, the light, and the overall feel of the space is something you simply can’t replicate through drawings or screens.

Our Open Days are designed to bring all of this together. A chance to see our builds in person, meet the team, talk through your ideas, explore what’s possible on your site, and ask questions around planning, infrastructure and next steps.

A vision coming to life.

“Our first look at the cabin, and it exceeded every expectation. Designing from plans is always a leap of faith, but seeing it built and stepping inside was such a moment. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the space feels even better than we imagined. We genuinely didn’t want to leave, and we’re now even more excited to bring it home and start welcoming our guests!”

Designing and building this unique cabin has been a real pleasure. When Jess first shared her vision board for the space, we immediately sensed this would be a carefully considered and distinctive project. From those early ideas through to the build, it’s been wonderful to see the vision take shape. We’re looking forward to seeing the final details fall into place and the cabin settle beautifully into its new landscape.
