🌹 What will your garden look like in 2026?
📖My books are now open for new garden design and planting planning projects. Whether you are looking for a redesign or just a refresh, or you are starting from scratch with a new build; having a plan can really help you focus your ideas.
🛑 Stop! ✋ It is common to just pick up plants here and there from garden centres because you like them, but then they die! Advice and a plan makes sure the plants are right for your garden, and crucially, put in the right place to have the best chance to thrive! (Not to mention saving money in the long run!)
🎨 Carefully considering colour, shape, form, texture, height, (and repeating all of these things) is also important to give both variety and continuiety throughout your space, otherwise you end up plonking in your randomly accuired plants and it all looks a bit, well...disjointed?
☀️🍁🌧️Seasonality! Colour or interest in late Summer, Autumn AND Winter needs to be considered too, not just Spring and the height of Summer. Wouldn't it be great to look out of those kitchen windows on the bleakest of mid-winter days and see something green?
🏗️ Do you want a patio, seating area, BBQ area, lawn, stepping stones, wildlife area, veg patch, raised beds, decking, pergola, fire pit...everything! But where will it go? How big will it be? Will it work in the space? 🤔 It can all be quite overwhelming! Having someone measure and plan for you takes the stress out of it (and also, sometimes, you can't have everything and will need help prioritising!)
💸And lastly (If you've made it this far 👀) With a garden plan, you can get all these details decided, understand the costs and then build it slowly in stages to whatever time frame suits you and your budget. You always have that plan to look back on and keep you focused.
