Nice little refurbishment of an existing 16th century floor. Floors lifted, insulated and repaired. Refitted with hand made rose headed nails to help it carry on for another few hundred years.

A brushed and white oiled engineered oak floor. Using one width plank throughout with micro bevel edges. Beautifully contrasting with the clients newly installed kitchen.

Had the pleasure of crafting this bespoke overlay staircase in Tunbridge Wells. Engineered oak planks seamlessly matched to the floors above, complemented by 25mm solid oak nosings handmade in our Sussex workshop. Finished with colour-matched handrails and fitted over a plywood structure.

From an elm tree felled in Eastbourne, to milling in Waldron, to being carefully flattened, sanded, and polished here at OldenOak in Cowbeech – every step of the journey stayed rooted in East Sussex.

The handcrafted frame was also built in Cowbeech, before making its final stop at our client’s home in Mayfield.
