Good evening
I’m not the best at keeping up with social media, but this was a big one.
A good and long time friend reached out to me.
She bought a run down house with her fiance five years ago and has been renovating and modernising constantly.
Last week, the Worcester Bosch Junior decided to identify as a water feature.
I had a look, and although it was the right manifold and servicing was lacking, it did have a good heat ex and newish fan.
I prepared all options, and due to the amount spent recently, repair was requested.
I know plenty of gas engineers will say that the time and money isn’t worth it, but with vital parts already in good order, and a friend and customer needing that option, I’m happy to do what’s required.
As with an exchange, I got the water under control with valves, and fitted a shock arrestor to an old outside tap tee to protect going forward
The right manifold was the leak. Left is cheap, and be stupid not to clean the plate while in your hand!
The heatex was scrubbed and expansion recharged. All appropriate service items fitted.
A loNox chip was found in the boiler during repair. This makes the heating out put 14kw instead of 28kw. With only six radiators, this was another quick bonus
Everything cleaned and greased
Boiler worked perfectly.
Happy customer, maximum job satisfaction.
Thanks for looking!
