We recently completed a project involving a hall, stairs, and landing in Ponteland for one of our valued returning customers.

The entire area underwent thorough preparation, including dustless sanding of all ceilings , walls and woodwork.

For the ceiling, we utilized Leyland ceiling paint with an anti-reflective matte finish.

The walls were painted with Farrow & Ball Yearbridge No. 287, mixed into Johnstone's Acrylic Durable Matt.

For the accent walls, Farrow & Ball Beverly No. 310 was selected and also mixed into Johnstone's Acrylic Durable Matt.

All woodwork was primed and finished with Benjamin Moore Scuff X satin.

LETS TALK PLASTERING PRICES..

How plastering prices actually work

We sometimes get asked why our day rate sits around £250 per plasterer, so we wanted to explain..

That figure is not take home pay. For example:
If we charge £250 for a day, before we pay ourselves we have to cover:
• Tax & National Insurance
• Van finance, fuel, insurance & maintenance
• Public liability insurance
• Accountants & business costs
• Tools, equipment & wear and tear

Once everything is accounted for, £250 typically works out closer to £130–£150 take home on a good day, sometimes less sometimes slightly more..

We also don’t get paid holidays, sick pay or pensions. If we don’t work, we don’t earn.

On top of that, there’s a lot of unpaid time spent outside working hours pricing jobs, visiting properties, planning work and organising materials.

After all of this, what’s left is a fair but modest wage for a skilled trade that takes years to learn and has to be done properly.

We’re not aiming to be the cheapest. Our focus is on quality, reliability and doing the job right the first time.

A spacious living and kitchen area has been completed in Gosforth for new clients.

This particular project presented a significant challenge due to the vaulted ceiling, which reached a height of nearly 4 meters.

The entire area underwent dustless sanding, and all cracks were meticulously opened, filled with Toupret Fill Flex, then reinforced with scrim tape and smoothed over with filler.

The ceiling was finished with Johnstone's Brilliant White Perfect Matt.

All walls were painted in Farrow & Ball Ammonite, mixed into Johnstone's Acrylic Durable Matt.

All woodwork received a finish of Benjamin Moore Scuff X Satin Chantilly Lace.

The kitchen's original color scheme was maintained during the refurbishment.

The entire area underwent thorough preparation, including dustless sanding.

The walls were finished with Valspar White Rabbit, formulated in Johnstone's Acrylic Durable Matt.

All woodwork received a finish of Benjamin Moore Scuff X Satin Chantilly Lace.
