Wobbly slab repair! This patio had been laid on a thin layer of gravel using a ring of mortar and had failed in places as a result. The ring of mortar is not only an insufficient bed to lay on but also causes a ring to show through on the surface of the slab. After breaking out the old mortar and improving the sub base I re layed on a full bed.
